It was a warm, summer night and we had an outstanding turnout with July’s First Thursday event. Acoustic music spilled out from the office garage door as postcard teases of Sam Roloff’s paintings hung in the hallways. The Pearl District visitors were greeted by representatives from CHAP, our selected non-profit for the evening. Children’s Healing Art Project (CHAP) brings the healing power of art to children in crisis and their families with a mobile team of teaching artists working in Portland’s children’s hospitals. Sam Roloff brought a variety of his paintings to display from his most recent series’ in addition to a piece collectively created by our First Thursday visitors. Pizza by Bellagios and drinks by Centric Elevator and Candy Nightclubwere provided to our generous patrons.
We raised over $500 at this event and thank you all for coming. Please peruse the photos taken by Portland Photo Studio here: FT Pics. We thank everyone who came out to support this evening and look forward to seeing you all soon.
Our August First Thursday celebration – Furr Thursday, will feature the Pearl District’s only karaoke stage and will honor the Oregon Humane Society!
